Lonesome Sky
Church of Girl Radio

Cooper, Where are You?
The Lost Patrol is Danielle Kimak-Stauss (vocals, guitars,
percussion), Stephen Masucci (electric guitars, acoustics, bass, programming,
omnichord, keys, lap steel), Michael Williams (12 string acoustics, keyboards,
vocals) and Seth Clifford (drums, keyboards, acoustic guitar). The New
Jersey based quartet has been making music since 1999 and have recently
released their 5th album, Lonesome Sky.
Lonesome Sky is like a ride down a forested highway,
surrounded by Douglas Firs with the sun darting in here and there creating
shots of light through the mist. The mood is dark and cinematic as if
the album were a soundtrack to a lost episode of Twin Peaks we never got
to see.
The Lost Patrol create deeply layered melodies using
acoustic and electric guitars, synthesizers, drums, and a little hand
percussion. The songs incorporate new wave and power pop styles of the
70’s and 80’s and Surf Music. Danielle’s large, other-worldly
voice and her personal and thoughtful lyrics cast the final charm with
haunting results.
The Lost Patrol play regularly from Toronto to Nashville
– and have a few gigs scheduled in their native New Jersey including
a "Women in Rock" night on March, 8 2006 at The Saint in Asbury.
Treat yourself, and check these guys out live as soon as you can. Guaranteed
to surprise, the band has been interviewed in The Washington Post, Boston’s
MusicCherry.com, and have been spotlighted by The Aquarian Arts Weekly
and Tape Op – The Creative Recording Magazine.
